At El Hilo Rojo we believe in quality, care and the creation of unique products, while still having a positive impact on both our environment and humanity. Starting with a collection that is colorful, practical and inspired by what we see every day, each garment represents what we love about the world we live in.
Organic cotton and linen fabrics
We use fabrics and threads from organic crops from India, with GOTS certificate, and natural mother-of-pearl shell buttons. We use this type of fabrics, which are more hypoallergenic and breathable, in order to take care of the baby's skin during the first months of their life. All the yarns we use are organic.
Natural dyes with unique designs
Our garments are hand dyed with natural pigments and dyes of vegetable or animal origin.
You can choose from 5 shibori designs for indigo blue dyes. As our garments are hand dyed, colors and patterns will vary. We recommend you to follow the garment care instructions carefully so that the colors will last longer.
In our first collection we use indigo in a special way, because it is a term that defines children who are generally very intuitive, have metaphysical gifts and talents. They need to be treated as equals no matter what age they are. If indigo children are contained and loved, they will soar and bring great wonders to the world.
Handmade by expert artisan women
We work with artisan women who know the tradition of quality stitching, artisan dyeing techniques with natural dyes, and the detail and beauty of embroidery.
